Z-index with flv?

I'm not familiar with this z-index/css thing but I need to overlay a swf and a flv on a html website. Is it possible? If so how? Thank you for your help in advance.

BTW I use wmode=transparent for the flv video. I need the swf to appear as the background. (It is an alpha channel transparent video)

flv to my undestanding ignores zindex and displays regardless of other elements stack order

i believe you apply z-index to the other elements
