Hi,
does anybody knows how to save audio files from a music CD as MP3 files ? With Nero ?
Is some free or shareware available for this ?

Its certainly not illegal too rip MP3’s from a CD. Although, If you are ripping them, compiling CD’s and selling them at your local market, naughty you.
Anyway, cdex (http://www.cdex.n3.net/) is what I use, and would recomend.

I did not say I wanna do something illegal.
It could be a CD from my brother singing the Hymn to Charlie Brown. There is not copyrights on that one :D

its also not illegal for you to rip your own cds cause you bought the rights to listen to the music. But like its was said, if you sell the music you burn, you cross the lines...Ive used Music Match to rip my CDs. Don't know if its free, but in this day and age, everything is "free" or can be obtained. :thumbsup:

MusicMatch is good because you can rip to a variety of formats. I also have an affinity for AudioCatalyst which does MP3-only ripping faster than any other program I've used.

I got a software named GAMUT98 and GAMUT2000 which converts audio files to mp3 format. its a freeware. I got this software when I purchased a PC and with that I got a cd named System Board. You can also search on web by using "Free Mp3 Convetors" etc etc.
