Hey everyone!!!
I have a little home network with a couple macs, a few PCs and a linux machine attached.
The problem is with the internet.
The Network is constructed as follows :
1) ADSL Router
2) 8 Port D-Link 10/100 network switch
3) Apple Airport Express
4) All the computers.
The ADSL router is plugged into the network switch via LAN cable.
The rest of the computers are also plugged into the same switch. They thus all get internet this way.
The Apple Airport Express is plugged into the switch too.
Here's the strange thing :
The ADSL is horrible on all of the PCs!! Pages don't load, images don't display... it would seems as though the connection keeps on dropping.
I happened to have my laptop disconnected from the cabled LAN and only connected to the Airport via WIFI and the internet works like a bomb!
Thinking this is strange, I tried my PC connected via cable and the internet sucks!
I then turned off the wifi on the laptop and plugged in the LAN cable and low and behold, the internet sucks again.
After testing on a few machines, it would appear that the internet only works properly through WIFI.
I don't understand this as the Airport Express is connected to the same switch as all of the computers!!
Does anyone know what could be happening here?
