Is it possible to be able to change the background of a .class applet without having the actual program that it was created in.
For example, anfy applets. Is it possible to change the actual background of the applet itself and is it permissible to do this.

if its configurable on an applet there should be a parameter for you to change... such as <param name="backgroundImage" value="image.jpg" /> or whatever...

but... unless it is configureable... then afaik you cant... although im no expert when it comes to java applets... coming to think of it im not an expert at anything... never mind ;)

Open up the class in notepad, there may be some internal documentation (comments) or atleast you may find a variable called "bgcolor", "background" or similar.

Not even close young whippersnapper. You cannot edit the class file. You would need the source file of that class file. Along with that you would need to know how to program in Java. Besides that Anfy applets are copyrighted so making changes to them would be in violation of their copyright.

Anfy applets are usually pretty versatile though, so I would check their documentation and see as redhead suggested if they already have a parameter built in to change the background color/image. If not then contact Anfy and see if they can add that in for you.
