Alright guys... This is my website www.thepriceoflust.com ... I have spent hours on coding this thing so please keep negative comments to a minimum until after I have fixed this issue... Any way on the index page you will see a featured members section... I cannot figure out for the freaking life of me how to make the pictures go into rows instead of having one on each line... I am using Dreamweaver and am having no success... The coding can be found below... Now for the reward... If someone on this forum helps me out with this issue and is able to take care of one or two more small things on this site and agrees that I can count on them to be my "goto-get-help" guy, I am going to be cutting you in on the profits of this site.... Every month you will be making money... Thanks for the help in advance...

<!--[If Start $en['loops_index'] == 1]-->

</b></a><img src='<%dir%>images/thumbnails/<%m_id%>-<%i_id%>.jpg' border=0>
</a>
<br class="clearfloat" />
</span>
<!--[If Start $en['loops_left'] == 0]-->

<!-- #end featured-profiles --></div>

<!--[Loop End]-->
<!-- #end featured-profiles -->

Hello thepriceoflust,
Add this first and see if that's what your looking for. Not sure I've got the right members section. -

.photo {
float: left;
margin: 0 5px;
}

You have this in your CSS right now -

#wide-column .additional-photos .photo {
float: left;
display: block;
width: 73px;
padding: 10px;
}
I'm not sure that shouldn't be separated. If this works, use it in place of the first snippet I quoted you (notice how I separated each element with a comma) -

#wide-column, .additional-photos, .photo {
float: left;
display: block;
width: 73px;
padding: 10px;
}

I know that I am going to be sounding like a complete newb here but were do I add that snippet to? Also the coding that I provided is only for the featured profiles section... If you look on the website then you will see what I am talking about... It is the section in the middle of the page...

Attached is a screen shot of the problem section in dreamweaver

Add it to the bottom of your CSS file named style.css

Use this one -
.photo {
float: left;
margin: 0 5px;
}

WOW... That almost did the trick... The only issue that I have with it is this... If you are on the index page and you refresh the page a few times you will see the pictures obviously move around and are automatically randomized... Now being that the pictures are different sizes is messes up the allignment... Is there anything you can do about that?

Wow, I've never seen that before!
My mistake probably though. To float something, you have give it a width. When we apply a float:left; to all the class .photo ... well, maybe this works better -

.photo {
width: 100px;
float: left;
}

Add a height to it too, like this -

.photo {
height: 120px;
width: 100px;
float: left;
}

Right on the money.... Now the only thing left is to get those little names on the top of the photos centered...

Ok... I have one more thing for you and then I will leave you alone for tonight... The script on this website is setup so that for each type of user (ie. Man, Women, Celeb etc...) you create, the front page will automatically create a Featured members section for it. I would like my featured members section to say Featured Members: Man Featured Members: Women Featured Members: Celebs and so on.... Is there anyway I can change the name of those sections?

I have another for you guys... On the index page I am trying to get the banner, (middle section of the page that rotates through photos,) to be centered. Right now it is a little bit off to the left side...

Make these changes to your CSS - highlighted in red

/* end leftbar */

/* begin middle-column */

#middle-column {
margin: 0 4px 0 4px;
float: left;
width: 465px;
}

#middle-column ul li {
line-height: 20px;
}

#middle-column a {
color: #0069BC;
}

#middle-column .intro {
background: #F4F4F4 url(images/about-bg.jpg) top left repeat-x;
padding: 10px;
}

#middle-column .banner {
width: 400px;
height: 265px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

#middle-column .about {
border-top: solid 10px #EBEBEB;
background: #F4F4F4 url(images/about-bg.jpg) top left repeat-x;
padding: 10px;
}

#middle-column .news {
background: #D6D6D6 url(images/news-bg.jpg) top left repeat-x;
padding: 10px;
}

Hmm, I never noticed the rep button till now. I've always used the "Thank user for this..." button on the lower right.

Now the last thing on the index page that I need to fix is I want to make another section in the middle column for other companies banners... I have a few other websites that will put my banner on their site if I do the same for them... I want to make another section under the "Latest Site News" section on the index page were I can insert other websites banners... I guess it would be titled Affiliate Sites? Or is there another name for websites that do this with you for advertising...

It might be easiest to just grab a class that you already have. No CSS to modify, just add another <div class="news"> to your markup.
Like this -
<!-- #end about --></div> <div class="news">
<h2>Latest Site News</h2>
<br>
<ul>
<li>
<p><strong>Sat, Nov 07, 2009 15:22:14 WIN MONEY NOW!!!! $100.00</strong></p>
<p>All you have to do is upload at least one photo to your profile... The user that has the highest rating on December 1st will win $100.00 plain and simple... We will have contests every month... .</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Mon, Nov 02, 2009 15:05:52 Forums Section</strong></p>
<p>The fourms section is now up and ready....</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Mon, Nov 02, 2009 15:05:35 Members Section</strong></p>
<p>The members section is now up and ready....</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Mon, Nov 02, 2009 15:05:06 Chat Section</strong></p>
<p>The chat feature is now up and ready....</p>
</li>
</ul>
<!-- #end news --></div>

<div class="news">
<h2>Affiliate Sites</h2>
<br>
<a href="http://www.nopeople.com"><img src="http://nopeople.com/webfiles/logo.gif" height="75" width="445" border="0" alt="nopeople.com - Pictures without People"></a>
<!-- #end news --></div>

<!-- #end middle-column --></div><!-- #start rightbar -->

<div id="rightbar"><!-- #start top images -->

thepriceoflust

So you are saying that for every affiliate banner that I receive I just make another

<a href="http://www.nopeople.com"><img src="http://nopeople.com/webfiles/logo.gif" height="75" width="465" border="0" alt="nopeople.com - Pictures without People"></a>

exchanging the www.nopeople.com with the other website information? And what is the file name that you modified in the above example? I tired looking at the index.tpl but that doesn't look right.

Usually a site that has a banner just has a snippet of code you can copy/paste right into your div.news.
Here are a couple examples that you could just copy right in after the </a> on the nopeople.com banner -

<a href="http://noelshairsalon.nopeople.com" class="ad_float_left"><img src="noels_banner.gif" alt="Valley Beauty Salon" width="300" height="68" /></a>
<a href="http://affiliatecenter.hostrocket.com//idevaffiliate.php?id=5021_9_1_26" class="ad_float_left"><img src="shared_234x60b.gif" alt="This site is hosted here" width="234" height="60" /></a>
<a href="http://www.phpjunkyard.com"><img src="PHP_JunkYard_120x90.gif" height="90" width="120" alt="Free PHP scripts for download" /></a>
<a href="http://www.nopeople.com/Design/index.html" class="ad_float_left"><img src="logo.gif" alt="nopeople.com logo" width="533" height="90" /></a>
<a href="http://www.specializedwoodworks.com" class="ad_float_left"><img src="specialized_woodworks3.gif" width="300" height="192" alt="Original Wood Toys and Furniture Crafted in Palmer, Alaska" /></a>
<a href="http://www.alaskatelecommunications.com/" class="ad_float_left"><img src="aktomlogo.jpg" alt="Shawn's website" width="300" height="115" /></a>
<a href="http://www.novalaska.com/" class="ad_float_left"><img src="nova.gif" width="238" height="114" alt="Nova River Runners" /></a>
<a href="http://www.hunting-washington.com/" class="ad_float_left"><img src="Hunting-WA.jpg" alt="hunting in Washington" width="370" height="97" /></a>

For some reason the users on my website can't upload videos anymore... It was working fine a few weeks ago... Now when you enter a youtube video link it says please upload a valid youtube video... It then gives you an example of what a valid youtube video link is... Well, I even tried entering in the example that it gave me and it still doesn't work.

There are some errors here that just have to be fixed for your page to work - http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thepriceoflust.com%2Fpages%2Fabout.html

You copy/pasted that form in with the html, style and other info normally in the head of a document and that won't work.

Yes, "help me" is probably not a very good title. Don't take it as an insult though, it's just a method of pointing out rules. It will expire after a while too so no lasting damage.

You're probably fine adding it the CSS that is already linked to the site. As for what to add, I didn't look what was in the style tags but you can add whatever you need to.
