Hi

I was wondering if you guys could help me out.

I've recently set up a website, that uses CSS layout: www.tom-fogarty.com

Whenever the pages loads for the first time, there is a border above the header (I want it to be positioned at the top of the page with no gap).

If I refresh the page, or navigate to another page (that uses the same style sheet) the page displays correctly. I've tried using using firebug to trouble-shoot but haven't been able to solve it.

The problem happens in IE, Firefox and Safari.

Here is the CSS for the site:

body, html {
margin:0;

padding:0;
background:#818080 url(images/bg2.png) repeat-x;
}

body {
text-align:center;
}

#content-holder {
width: 1024px;
margin-top: 20px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
text-align: left;
background:#ffffff;
padding-top: 40px;
}

#content-holder h2{
padding:0 20px;
text-align:left;
margin-right:0;
}

#title {
position:absolute;
top:20px;
padding-top:0px;
padding-left:10px;
padding-right:10px;
padding-bottom: 0px;
text-align:left;
margin-right:0;
width:400px;
float:left;
}

#nav {
padding:0 10px;
text-align:left;
margin-right:0;
width:400px;
float:right;
}

#banner-holder {
width:1000px;
padding-top: 200px;
margin-top:25px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
background:#ffffff url(images/banner4.gif) no-repeat;

}

#text-holder {
width:800px;
/*height: 400px;*/
border-style:solid;
border-width:5px;
border-color:#000000;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
text-align:left;
background:#7d7c7c;
}

#text-holder p {
padding: 0 20px;
}

#footer {
text-align: right;
padding:0 10px;
}

#footer p {
font-size: small;
padding-right: 100px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
}

Thanks!

What's this?

<div><object height="1px" width="1px" id="atff" data="//bin.clearspring.com/at/v/1/button1.6.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"/></object></div>

Getting rid of that solves the problem.

Hi

Thanks for your speedy reply!

Where does it say that - I've double-checked the code but couldn't see it anywhere?

Cheers

It looks like you fixed it. It was right above #wrap.

Hey

It's really weird - I didn't do anything to fix it yet - but I did manage to find this on the internet - the problem is because of the 'add this button'.

See here: https://www.addthis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=77692

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!
