I imagine I will have to wait til the 18th for this. The DOM is repulsive, the enterprises are only establishing semi-standards with W3C.

Why are they not upgrading browser interfacing instead of trivial, proprietary code syntax? Greed (not competition) causes immature growth and behavior.

Does anyone here claim/regard themselves as a DOM master? Is Tim Berners Lee the world's top DOM guru?

The DOM is repulsiveA lot of people struggle with it.

Why are they not upgrading browser interfacing instead of trivial, proprietary code syntax?Don't know what you mean. The only browser that does such a thing is IE. All the other browsers follow the standard and are fairly up to date (almost 12 years ahead of IE).

The list of companies that write the standards for the DOM are listed at the W3C site. All the browser vendors are listed. Microsoft is one of them but, until last month, almost always a "no-show". Everyone else religiously works on the standards but this is not tbl's job.
