Hello everyone! My website is http://www.filminsight.net, and as you can see, the banner is a little plain, and it doesn't match with the rest of the color. I have run a contest for banner design on DigitalPoint, and I really like this banner:
How can I format my site so that I can get that banner outside the left corner of the top? It looks somewhat challenging, but my site would look very nice with it.
Thank you very much!
That shouldn't be too difficult.
You already have your date tab positioned outside the wrapper, and this is done using a negative left margin, so you could adopt a similar approach to this for the header logo.
Alternatively, use absolute positioning to place the logo. Your css would need to look something like:
left:-100px;/*move to the left of header by 100px*/
top:10px;/*move down from the top of header by 10px*/
..other styling as required...
and then, assuming the logo is an image, put it within your header html:
<img id="logo" src="image.png" alt="Film Insight" etc>

Thank you for the warm welcome SB65, I appreciate your kindness :).
Wow, I completely forgot that the date tab was positioned outside the margin. Haha I wasn't being very observant. If I decide to implement the logo, I will try this out. The CSS part is usually what's most confusing. I am more of a simple HTML guy. I just know the basics, haha. But I'm persistent, so I will find a way to implement what you just showed me.
Thank you so much!

Hey guys, thanks for the help! I couldn't get the banner to work, but that is going to be attempted again, at a later time.
I have a different question now. I have installed Tweetmeme, the posts work on the homepage, and the stories themselves. However, on the homepage, each story points to filminsight.net. Not the actual stories themselves. Is there any PHP I can place to redirect the URL to the stories themselves, so when people press re-tweet on my homepage, it retweets the actual stories? Thank you very much!
Also, I was planning on having a link that says "Buy Now!" right underneath the twitter button on the homepage. Is there any way I can make a custom field, where I can type the amazon link underneath each post I publish, kind of like my Thumbnail custom field? Thank you!

Bump, does anyone have an idea for these? Especially the Twitter one, which I am having difficulties with. Thank you so much! :)
