Hey guys,
I have a very weird situation here, I am making this webpage by extensively using firebug to fix the css.

problem:
even though there are elements inside the div container by the id="content", the content wont stretch out! but it dose in IE!

I took out all the height=100% so it would be fluid but it's not working!
What am i doing wrong?

Hello armen,
The bit highlighted in red will clear your floats -

#content_wrap {
background-color: #e8d9ad;
position: relative;
width: 980px;
margin: 0 auto;
overflow: auto;
}

Here's a site (http://www.quirksmode.org/css/clearing.html)that explains how that works.

Thanks Excavator, go Geotech power!
I dont understand why when I put overflow property to visible, it hides again.

overflow:visible; is just the default state which we already know does not clear the floats. http://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_pos_overflow.asp

Please remember that what you are viewing in IE is an IE bug. Firefox is performing correctly.
