So it works fine in IE and firefox, but im safari and chrome the navbar gets pushed to the top right! Ive tried putting everything in <div>'s and tried <br> <br /> <p> and no luck, tried margin-top, tried top, tried so many things and cant figure it out, my friend thinks maybe something with HTML 5?

Thanks guys, so confused!

Sam.

Either:

Remove the float from #header table.header_logo. You might then need to change your vertical spacing a little.

or:

Add clear:left to #top_menu

Thankyou! Removed float, and it works! Why does float not allow it to sit under?

Thanks again!

Sam.

The float property allows elements to sit side by side - which is what Chrome/Safari were doing here. There's no reason to use float on that element.
