Need a little help with the image preloader

hi,

i need to put an image in the progress bar of my preloader instead of using background color of the layer. how do i do that? i used css property "background-image: abc.gif" but it didnt work. as a matter of fact nothing appeared. what to do? any help is appreciated.

Well, that's the syntax, so maybe there's something more going on with it. If you could post a URL or a snippet of what you're working on, it'd be more help.
