how to edit the vbulletin version number ??

well, i was trying to make my forum more secure, so i got that idea to change the forum version to fake version, like for example if i have 3.8.1 version i will edit it to 3.7.x. so anybody think to attack my site will use wrong old exploits for wrong version :)
so please how can i edit the version number ?, thanks

newer versions fix exploits in older versions. hence if your site says you are using 3.7.x any hacker will assume you are using an old version and thus be more likely to try and attack it. (i.e a one that DOESN'T have recent vulnerabilities patched)

By using and advertising the most recent version of your site, you are reducing the risk.

and honestly anyone determined to cause harm is not going to be put off by the version number
