Hey, Im new here and I am making my second script for vbulletin. However I dont own a vbulletin license so I cant get help on this, I use a friends site to test this on.

Anyway, i keep getting an error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/userbar.php on line 33

This is my script. Basically I want to read data from the database depending on the UID taken from $_GET.

Fixed :) code removed

I cant seem to get the SQL right :(

Thant code doesn't give any such error for me. Are you sure that it's the public_html/userbar.php file?

I copied your text into notepad, saved it and did:

C:\Users\ComputerX\Desktop>php -l test.php
No syntax errors detected in test.php

So there's something else going on here. Your code doesn't have syntax errors.

I think it is vbulletin not the code itself. It seems to not allow other scripts to use its functions

I fixed it, with a lot of patience and changing variables it fixed, dont know what i did but it worked :D
