Okay, I have spent a very very long time in an attempt to figure out why this is happening, and well I am now well and truly stumped.

Okay, get the lowdown here : http://www.mudsplat.net/current

In Opera, Mozilla 1.3 and 1.4a, it looks perfectly fine, as it should. But, in IE 6, it looks sort of wierd, in that the date line has three lines instead of the 1, and it 91px in height, instead of the 16px stated in the css class - well that is what it should be.

I am still trying to figure it out, so any help, well it will be helpful.

File->Save As, and you'll have all the files related to the page.

Cheers to anyone who takes up the time and tries to figure it out.

Put some borders on your structural tables and I'd bet you'll see that the TD cell you have placed the date in is three lines tall so the background is being spread to cover the whole cell.

Hrm, okay I'll give that a try... and keep you posted on how it goes.

Cheers Roy.

Hmm... Not exactly sure on why mine works but all I did was change a few things.

FTPed it for ya as mudsplat_mhtml_FIXED.html .. Check out the source for it, I left a little space for your image next to the date.

[edit:] The source around the date table area that is ;)

Did you enjoy lochness? :)
