1) Project Details: (be as specific as possible): I have a website up and running. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues, the site is not browser compatabile. It only seems to work on I.E. I want it to work on FireFox, Chrome, Safari, etc.

I want the code to be clean up and code to be optimized as the page loads up very slowly.

The website is: www.BookYourKidsParty.com

I also want to make a few minor minor changes to the layout.

I just need the front page and packages and clown packages to be fixed.

So all you are doing is fixing 3 pages of the entire site.

2) Payment Amount: 100

3) Payment method/ details (Paypal, check? Timeline?):
PAYPAL ASAP

4) Additional Info (about project or potential bidders): PLEASE EMAIL ME: ADOLPH@BOOKYOURKIDZPARTY.COM OR CALL 6465770152

What specific problems are you having in browsers other than IE? I'm looking at it through firefox and do not see anything out of the ordinary that wouldn't show up the same on IE.

Try viewing your site from different operating systems and browsers here (http://browsershots.org/http://www.bookyourkidsparty.com/Home.html).
Under the custom packs page the splish splash package image links to the smilezpakdiva.html instead of diva. That looks like a simple careless error.

I want the code to be clean up and code to be optimized as the page loads up very slowly.

The page could load slowly simply because of your hosting provider. Also optimization would mostly take part on adjusting server side code and would probably put you much higher than your budget.

What do you mean by cleaning up code? Using correct formatting, making the site valid xhtml? Also things that should be incorporated into the price.

Also what do you find wrong with the three pages listed?

Those links are neither visible in my IE6 or FF 3.5.3. which FF browser are you using?

I took a quick look at your source code. I don't see a link either to home page or to custom packages.

Maybe I missed them??

I have looked at it widescreen and it seems to be the same as before. Maybe you need to clear your cache/history so you are looking at it from the server and not, perhaps, from an old version?

the two links that you highlighted are not visible in my ff either 1280x768 or 1024x768.

did you check out the link from 'cs student'

bazz, the navigation is on the top right of the packages page. Apparently, this Web site uses multiple representations for the same navigation elements... poor design at its finest.

In fact, there's design flaw after design flaw in this Web site from links that don't go anywhere, to rollovers that have unrelated over/out content, to disproportionally stretched images, to over-blurred text, to a redundant date script that repeats what's on the user's taskbar.

The packages page is also the slow one; a full half of the package images failed to load on my dial-up connection leaving gaping blank areas and the ones that did load didn't load progressively (i.e., they popped into view without notice). It's a little hard to navigate when there aren't any links.

So I go to the Site Map to figure out what the links were and get "Page Not Found". ROFL.

But I guess this is what you're paying people to fix. :)

You can get it validated using validator.w3.org ,etc .

Oops! I assumed that the navigation would be the same on each page. Should be - as you eluded to Arbitrator.

Your review is very good and, of course, with the additional faults I hope the OP is in a position to review the buget as it requires more than an amendment of 3 pages.

No one can work on 3 lousy pages???

No one can work on 3 lousy pages???

Sure, we’re all capable of working on three pages. The only problem here is that most of us probably know that it’s most likely not done with fixing three pages because that would only be a superficial scratch on the surface as your site is lacking substantial design and coding principles. Also my experience in fixing screwed up HTML and CSS tells me that whenever you change something in one place something else in a different place may screw up, and it may take forever to fix everything properly. Don’t underestimate the amount of work that’s likely to be necessary. The place where an issue becomes obvious isn’t necessarily the place where it’s caused.

Also 100 of what are you paying? Euros? U.S. Dollars? Yuan? There’s a major difference here, and web business is one of the winners of globalization (i. e. you have to do with people from all over the world here).
But I’m sure if you’re a little patient someone eventually will contact you regarding this.

Meh, the design is what it is. The OP hasn't asked for a new layout anyway so I'm not sure that we should be all that bothered about it. I do have a few questions to clarify the work that is being asked for though...

1) What (specifically) are the "minor minor changes" that you want for the layout?
2) When you say that you want the code cleaned up, are you talking about W3C validation or something else. If something else, please specify what you mean.
3) For the code optimization, is it possible that this is just a bandwidth/hosting issue? At a quick glance I don't see any overly large files in the page so there probably isn't much to optimize. What is your goal for this optimization (number of seconds to load on what type of connection) and how will this part of the job be objectively determined to be completed?
4) Can you confirm that you are ONLY asking for work to be done on these pages:
http://www.bookyourkidsparty.com/
http://www.bookyourkidsparty.com/smilezcustompack.html
http://www.bookyourkidsparty.com/smilezpakclown.html

The more vague the work request is the riskier it is for any coder to undertake the work. We all have horror stories of taking a job that just refused to end because the details of what was expected for the money paid were not clear and objective.

Nailing down these details will be a good start for finding someone to work on your site. Depending on the answers I might be interested in doing the work...assuming this is paying $100 US.

1) The pay is $100 US DOLLARS. Didn't realize there was any confusion there.

2) When I say "clean up code" i mean I want the site to run on firefox, chrome, all browswers with no issues.

For example, the navigation menu appears on the top right corner in firefox and chrome for the following two pages

http://www.bookyourkidsparty.com/smilezcustompack.html
http://www.bookyourkidsparty.com/smilezpakclown.html

3) I just want 3 pages correct, HOME.HTML and the two pages above.

4) I want to add a 3d shawdow to the above three pages:
http://nopeople.com/CSS/drop_shadow/index.html

5)At the bottom of the site, I also want the mailing list, privacy, sitemap, etc to open a new smaller window. I will put in the content later.

6)Also, you will notice an extra outer layout box, that needs to be cleaned up.

7)I would also need the time and date to appear above the navigation menu. So the custompak & clown pak should have date time / navigation / banner followed by main body

For the all three pages I want to add a banner below the on top of the date so another div, and the banner should be about 875 by 200.

I want to be able to update my customers on new events and packages, for example, I want to have a banner up for halloween.

I want the site to be functional and to help me grow my business. If there is anything you think I should have to make my customers experience better. Please let me know.

Hi,
Your site is potentially beautiful, though needs a little refinements as you have pointed out above. I am willing to work it out with you - for U$100 - probably within a week or two.

You could see my previous work at http://frc46.com, a site I build for a friend.
