Hi everyone!

We have a 5GB cap, pathetic I know, but I can't get it increased :)

We also have a network consisting of 4 Macs, 2 XP Machines, 1 Vista Machine and 1 Ubuntu Linux Machine.

We have an extremely simple Billion ADSL router (it only has one ethernet port and no USB ports).

A series of network switches and Apple Airport expresses then distribute the internet throughout the network.

The problem is that our CAP gets used in the first 5 days of the month!

Does anyone know of a piece of software that can limit the amount of internet used on the network per day?

Or perhaps software that would limit the network activity on each machine?

If you have an old clunker machine lying around, you could install IP Cop (http://www.ipcop.org/) on it.

There's an add-on which allows you to limit bandwidth use per machine: http://firewalladdons.sourceforge.net/trafcontrol.html
