Hi, just had a browse through my site and realised IE 6 and 7 do not output correct data from my "custom hosting package" form.

http://hosting.actwebdesigns.co.uk

Im getting squares with circles inside. (never seen this before)

This be the jQuery side:

// JavaScript Document
jQuery(document).ready(hostCalc);
function hostCalc() {
$("select").change(function () {
var diskSpace = $("#diskSpace :selected").text();
var bandwidth = $("#bandwidth :selected").text();
var subDomains = $("#subDomains :selected").text();
var additionalFTP = $("#additionalFTP :selected").text();
var mysqlDatabases = $("#mysqlDatabases :selected").text();
var emailForwarding = $("#emailForwarding :selected").text();
var AutoResponders = $("#autoResponders :selected").text();
var emailDistributionLists = $("#emailDistributionLists :selected").text();
var mailBoxes = $("#mailBoxes :selected").text();
var operatingSystem = $("#operatingSystem :selected").text();
var oneClick = $("#oneClick :selected").text();

$.ajax({
type: "GET",
data: 'diskSpace=' + diskSpace + '&bandwidth=' + bandwidth + '&subDomains=' + subDomains + '&additionalFTP=' + additionalFTP + '&mysqlDatabases=' + mysqlDatabases + '&emailForwarding=' + emailForwarding + '&AutoResponders=' + AutoResponders + '&emailDistributionLists=' + emailDistributionLists + '&mailBoxes=' + mailBoxes + '&operatingSystem=' + operatingSystem + '&oneClick=' + oneClick,
url: 'hostCalc.php',
cache: false,
timeout: 7000,
error: function () {
$("#cost").html("error");
},
success: function (html) {
$("#cost").html(html);
}
});
});
}

sounds like charset, do they show where a space might be?

no, no white space. cant understand it due to if the PHP side is working in one browser it should work in another yes? So that leaves the jQuery, but i cant see any problem..

i did a mysql insert from a file yesterday, it had some spaces in a couple of the rows, when the query finished those spaces ended up at the square with the circles in it "in phpmyadmin - browse". im not really sure what it is. was in FF latest.
