Has anyone knowledge of a program to enable drag and drop of images from one folder to another.:D

Frank please clarify what you are trying to do. seco wasn't asking what OS. He was saying that you can drag and drop images from all folders into other folders by just simply holding down the mouse button and dragging in all of the OSes he listed.

When I do that, I just get a link (as in shortcut) and not a copy. I need to have an actual copy that I can see in the Total Command file program.
I need an actual copy in order to use the built in logon screen facility. It will not work with a link.

dragon with the right mouse button when you let go you get as choice, move/copy and such, for for reference in a lot Linux systems at least with gnome you use the middle mouse button
you can also right click and copy and then right click in another folder somewhere else and select paste
