restoring OE6 email folders after the crash

Another computer crash. I backed up my Outlook Express email folders onto a disk. I tried using the Import/messages function under 'file' but it won't recognize the files (maybe cause they are folders and not messages).

How else can I restore these folders?

Yeah, I had this problem once.

I may have fixed it either by simply dragging the folders into the OE window or by dropping them into C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Mail

Most likely the later will work.

I use XP so I tried going to

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{C83676A5-5069-4CC9-A83C-5A2A8069E143}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\

and I copied the folders into there but they're not showing up in OE.
