Loading Movie onto level

I am trying to load an external .swf gallery into my movie.
It will only function properly when loaded into level 0 -
when i load it into level 0 it replaces my movie.

loadMovieNum("gallery.swf",0);

This is gallery called artflashgallery from flash-gallery.com
It can be customized via gallery.xml
