Its hard to take you seriously when you don't articulate your post very well at all. And your are only 16, yet you have 5000 dollars for a game?

Perhaps your mmorpg could focus on spelling skills.

And actually, I just realised I don't even know what you're asking for here. Do you have some sort of a plan or what?

Well what ohgod was trying to get at is, you don't say what the game is going to be about. Do you have an idea of what it is going to look like and how it is going to work? If so, is it written down? Have you decided what you are going to use to make them game? If you haven't, you might want to look at the Torque MMO kit.

You are kind of putting the cart in front of the horse here with getting servers. You need a solid plan first. You don't need serious hardware until you actually have the basics of a working game.

I am a gamer and do Text Based/2D games. While I can do those with little to no cash involved, a 3D MMORPG will required a minimum of $100,000.

Some of the follow you need is as followed.

- Layout Artist
- Modeling Artist
- At least 3 coders
- Sound Tech
- Storyboard Designer

That is just a few, some people can do multiple things but that makes it harder and more time consuming to finish. You can't just buy servers and start a game. It will take a minimum of 2 years to have a working model.

So $100,000 will get you the basics, enough to get started.

Seriously though OP, leave the shorthand at the phone, this is a forum and for most users on a computer that has a full keyboard! So, you can go a head and type out those extra two letters, not only is it easier for us (coming from a young adult, who uses shorthand) but it also makes you more professional looking and/or serious about it. If you don't even take the extra second to type out a legible sentence, I couldn't even imagine (Well, I could and it wouldn't be pretty) the quality of the game.

What type of MMORPG are you looking for, I'm assuming that being in the middle of starting (?), that you have the basic ideas of what you are wanting feature wise. While a text-based (aka Browser Game) can be coded single handed fairly shortly while a downloaded client or a 3d game will take months to years to complete, and price wise would greatly differ. Are you going to be offering any help with the game besides money? If so it might be useful to include anything else you'll be doing or any language you know. In order to get helpful replies we need to know more then your computer specs :).
