It depends on the browser.

In IE 5 or higher, there's an icon which represents your security zone. It's probably a globe, but might be a green or red circle. Double click it.

That'll open up a pop-up, with a button called "Default Level." Click that button.

Click okay, okay, okay, however many times it takes to get out of there. Refresh the page, and you'll be all set.

In Mozilla-based browsers (Mozilla, Netscape 6 or higher, some others), open the "Edit" menu and click "Preferences." This will give you a pop-up. In the left-hand window, you should see an item called "Advanced" - double click it to expand it.

Click on the option that appears labelled "Scripts & Plugins" (or something like that), then make sure the checkbox beside the word "Navigator" is checked.

Hope that helps.
