Price comparision question :)

Hi All,

ok i am trying to set up a price comparison site which is kinda working, im using merchant api data and searching for items that match the product name.

the problem im having is, im not always recieving the correct data back for example if i search for angels and demons (dvd) im getting results from books and nt just dvds

so my question is how does a site like http://www.findprice.co.uk/

get the exact results every time? apart from knowing what there doing :D

are they doing it a different way?

if anyone can shed any light on this for me i'd appreciate it

perhaps they can request items matching a certain type of product. That way they filter through the unrelated content and get to exactly what they want.

Is there a way you can, through the merchant's API, request products of only a certain type? Kinda like a "search by category" feature.
