:o If a website was coded in Java Script...could it still be excellent on a LAMP: Linux+Apache+MySQL+PHP system? ...like how stupid is this question?

It's O.K. I can take it!

JavaScript is client side - the runtime exists in your browser, not on the server. JavaScript is run on the client by the client.

The LAMP platform is a server platform - it has nothing to do with the client (except it sends and recieves data from it).

And as I've said already once today, somebody told me there is no question that is too dumb to ask. There's people here that want help.

Thanks for that Liorean! I have a website put together by my web guy (cut & paste) and I want to get it coded proper before I launch it. Want to make sure it is acceptable to most browsers and handhelds...it will provide a web based email service for my subscribers.

Do Java Script coders charge more for their work? ...You said no question is too dumb to ask! ...maybe there should be a 3 Q limit per forum! :p
