Underline dissappears

Heya!

Okay, so this isn't actually a web building question, but here goes: Has anyone else noticed apart from me, that when you use underline in a:hover, the line dissappears after you've clicked it. I mean, when the page reloads, and you hover over the same link, the underline dosen't show. Howcome??? To get it back, you need to clear the history in the browser. This is a dumb question, I know :D, but I would really want to know.

This might be because your styles are overriding eachother. Use the following order: lvha (link visited hover active), and see if that doesn't fix it.

You can use combinations, also:

:link:focus, :visited:focus { /*styles*/ }
:link { /*styles*/ }
:visited { /*styles*/ }
:link:hover, :visited:hover { /*styles*/ }
:link:active, :visited:active { /*styles*/ }

That about covers it.


(Remember, :hover should actually work on all elements, not only links, and does so in at least the mozilla browser. Because of this, the combined syntax is to prefer.)

yeah, like lioean said... make sure the a:visited is above a:hover and you shouldnt have that problem
