Random emotion-venting rant in which I hope to justify the fact that i started a new thread to ask this silly question:

Good God, why do they have to make all these server software sites so non-user friendly!? theres always 20 different versions and 20 slightly different downloads for each version, and i dont even know what the heck a binary is. Even the installers make you mess with a buncha ini files and crap!! blah blah etc etc

Now for the loosely related question:

Does anyone know where i can find some info on the functions and methods used in imagemagick? At least GD is explained on php.net's beautiful site... maybe i just feel there should be some kinda giant flashing link on imagemagick.org that says 'YO, here are some instructions, smart guy.' Would that be so hard?

You don't like the imagick section on php.net?

http://pear.php.net/manual/en/pecl.imagick.php

Yeah it's a pain innit, when sites don't bother to think about accessibility
