My 2005 machine was getting pretty show. It had XP Pro and SP2.

I bought a new machine and installed the same XP Pro but with SP3.

Then I re-installed the Visual Studio Enterprise Architect 2003 on the new machine.

When I try to call up VS, a small window appears. It is headed with the name of a folder which was created somewhere in the installation process for VS, and asks for a user name and password which I don't have. I compared the security tabs for all the folders that I thought could be relevant on both machines but they all seem to be identical.

Has anyone got any idea how to get over the problem, please ?

Hello,

If you login as Windows administrator you should not have any problems. Check your Windows account which you have used and give it appropriate security permissions.

Are you running as an account that has admin privileges?
