??? I'm not sure I get it. jQuery *IS* JavaScript. Specifically, a JavaScript library. Did you mean something else by "JS" than just "JavaScript"??

I interpreted the question to mean something like "if you use a framework like JQuery, can you still use "ordinary" Javascript as well, or will JQuery in some way overwrite the standard browser Javascript?"
