Nope, unless you press the save as button from teh file menu in the conversation.

yes, it does, if you use Messenger Plus (search google for it)

I have used Messenger Plus for a couple of years now and it is great! :D And it works with the latest versions of Messenger, too :)

On the subject of messenger <me thread-jacks/> is there a way of putting on a webpage whether I'm online or not, or maybe my my status?

Yeah you can do it with php, even with signatures. I'll try and dig up some info on it.

I do too, never had a need to use Messenger Plus... the normal one works fine.

Also if you use trillian, it can log chats too. And it has support for AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, and Yahoo accounts.

erm, I use 'the normal one' too... just, Messenger Plus adds useful features :)

trillian is ify with AIM as aim have so called blocked access from trillian users.

i can show a list of contacts on someones list in the browser. whether you would be able to manipulate this i don't know. From the browser you possibley can add a contact as in hotmail you can do it.

I've never had a problem and most of the people I talk to are on AIM.
