Can you help me to Build this application?

This is an application which is able to detect which operating system (need to detect if its a MAC, PC, OS, Linux ) user accessing this application has on the computer and according to the OS present, launch an existing application.

This application needs to be put on a USB drive and should auto run on insertion. It should auto run on both MAC as well PC. If user has not disabled the feature. In any case it should run when user clicks on the usb drive.

This application needs to check which OS that is.

There would be two different applications on the same usb. PC compatible and MAC compatible. This application should then launch either the PC compatible or the Mac compatible version of the application based on the OS app finds.

No interface need for this application. It should start hidden / invisible and just do the job.

This is what i trying to do, the application that i have explained must run invisibly in the background. This application is in a pen and must run automatically and detect the os type and should run the relavent program in the pen. This is like auto play when you plug a pen in to pc. The only difference is this application wont ask from the user and do its job silently. This a second year project and we are working on the other parts of this project. We are developing a new pen. The application is going to store in it. If you can pls help. We don't have much time thats y we post this. Since developing a pen is little bit difficult we are paying full attention to it and we realize that we wont have much time to complete the software product. :-(

Write it in Java , no need to know OS as long java is installed it will run.
