Uh, didn't 533Mhz just hit the mobos?

533 was a while back. The 133MHz bus has been used for years, AMD are up to 333 (2x166) and are going to 400 (2x200). High fsb's are better than high multipliers, a good move by both Intel and AMD I think.

Do you know of any mobos using it?

I'll have to wait and see then. :) Thanks Mouse.

The P4s that will have 667MHz FSBs are called Titans and Gigabyte has a mobo for them out. I have yet to see the chips but I have a feeling the next P4 that comes out will be one.

From what I rememeber Intel is trying to get the P4 FSB up to 800MHz because thats what the Prescott will debut with.

Do you think it'd be out by may? If so would there be a fall in current mobo prices and would the newer mobos with the larger FSB be significantly more expensive?

You'd be better at predicting than me I think, considering you've been into this stuff for a lot longer ;)..

The 667s might be out by May but from what I've heard, Intel has been getting a lot of heat from companies like Dell because they were releasing processors too fast.

However I heard that by the end of first quarter of this year, HT (Hyperthreading) was supposed to be available on lower clock speeds down to 2.4GHz But I haven't heard anything about that in a while.

Is 667 actually coming? I heard yonks ago that Intel decided not to bother and they would jump straight to 800.

Thats what I'd assume, I haven't heard anything for a while. The last thing I remember hearing is that but I might have missed the article saying they were going straight to 800.

They are probably keeping it a secret to confuse AMD ;)

I had read on the intel website that they were going to release HT on cpus from 2.4 up by May 4th.. I'm hoping they won't be much more expensive, they'll capture some more market if they aren't.
