Has anyone used XML/XSL to grab info out of an excel worksheet and display it on a web page? I want to grab say information ( the GDP of peru ) and output that on a page if peru is selected. The excel document exist in the same directory. Can anyone help? All help is appreciated, thanks.

Er ... if your data is in an Excel spreadsheet, where does XML come into it?
XSL cannot process documents which are not XML. I'd say, ditch the spreadsheet and keep its data in XML; from that basis, XSL-based data mining is simple.
brothercake, Office XP can save documents in an XML format, including Excel spreadsheets.
I've never used XSLT directly on such an XML document, the markup that is produced is so bulky and extraneous that it. However, I've used DOM and Java to get the info I want, store that in a temporary XML document, then use XSLT on that...

jkd could I use a server side language to do as you stated above? I want to use ASP, can this be done?

Well, you can in theory do the entire thing straight out with XSLT, but the XPath expressions required can get nasty.
