I'm not sure how the other mods feel, but I'd personally have gone though the report a post menu.
The problem with posting them this way is I have to see if I can actually edit them (which I can't in this case), while a report would tell me what you're looking at.

The report interface would be better because it allows all moderators to deal with it. Personally, I don't like PMs so much because if I'm away the job won't be done in a timely manner.

That said, I really hate the reports clogging up my inbox >.<

Curious now, If a report is made, does it go to each mod's inbox?

Well, a copy of the report is emailed to all the mods who have administrative rights over that forum; a report made in the PHP forum would go to Fou-Lu, because he's Server Side, but not me, because I'm Client Side. I assume a copy goes to the super moderators and George too, but I'm not sure of that (and that's a hell of a lot of emails each day)

Yes, if its a forum we moderate it will go to our email. I assume you meant the mail inbox, and not our PM inbox.
So if you report in the PHP forum, these people all get an email: guelphdad, Brandoe85, FishMonger, firepages, Inigoesdr, vinyl-junkie, Fou-Lu, Spookster, marek_mar, JohnDubya, Aradon.

The confusion comes to following a link to a post that doesn't exist anymore, or the problem has been resolved >.<

Cyan snuck in there.
If its like the older VB, the Supermods and Admins will not get an email unless the forum has no moderators or they have explicitly set that the email should be sent to them as well. I know thats for Admins, I'll double check later on the super mods.

Yeh I think you are right, that is a lot of emails, especially recently, I should think, when there seems to have been an upsurge in poxy spam messages.

Is the technology not yet about where if someone sends a spam message, that their keyboard automatically becomes electrified :D

too good for them me thinks.

Reporting a post? Does not work!

Reported the post with this:

Please remove socsat.co.za
http://codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=148667
Thank you
Got this in response:

student101, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Sent PM's , whish I had moderator powers right now... :(

One more thing:
Private messages...
You may send your message to up to 5 people at a time.
Separate multiple user names with ';'

This should read:
You may send your message to up to 5 people at a time, per day!
Separate multiple user names with ';'

Reporting a post? Does not work!
Which means the report post link likely goes to www.codingforums.com and not http://codingforums.com

Logging into one doesn't log you into the other.

I changed http://codin... to http://www.codin.... and it actually did allow me to send the report.
Hopefully this will fix those threads

Thanks _Aerospace_Eng_

Any ideas why this hasn't been sorted yet?
An entire thread has caught the admin/moderators attention, yet nothing is fixed?

All fixed!
