recently I wiped my computer clean and after installing everything again, I'm getting an 'unknown device' in the device manager. This is unusual because I haven't seen it before after doing this.
Anyway, I tried to plug the digital camera in after I installed the driver and when I turn it on to transfer some pictures the whole screen will go blue and display some message (too quickly for me to read), and then restart the whole computer.
I tried increasing the virtual memory because this worked with a problem like this before but it changes nothing. I'm wondering if these two things are related.
I have the latest chip set, mother board drivers installed too.
Why is it detecting new hardware that I don't have drivers for and how I can get the digital camera to work again with Winows 2000 Pro?
The only thing that the device manager says about the 'unknown device' is that it's an ACPI-Compliant device.
Could the digital camera be doing this, and if so, how can I fix this mess????
