View Full Version : Precise time comparison?

If I want to compare two times pretty precisely - that is, I want to know if time a is later than time b down to a fraction of a second - is time() the best thing I have to do the job? time() being the timestamp.

Thank you... I am building a chat application. I wonder if that level of precision is neccesary, or will time() be adequate. I will be experimenting.
