View Full Version : How can I resolve my posts every time?

Several times, when my posts are resolved, I have tried to alter the title to say as much. Often I find I do not have the option to edit the original post.

Am I missing something? Or is it something I said. (just joking.):o

See http://www.codingforums.com/postguide.htm

6) Thread prefixes usage. In some forums, you can select from a list a prefix to add to your thread's title, for example, a prefix of "resolved" once you've received a satisfactory answer to your question. To add a prefix after your thread has been initially posted, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.

I didn't realise that there was a date limit. It seems a bit counter-productive.

It's to stop people emptying them when we're not looking (:

VBulletin groups the editing of thread statuses with thread titles, so unfortunately, I can't set two different time limits on each individually.

I also encountered a similar situation. Sometimes only a matter of time, do need to verify.
