Has anyone got one? I'd just like a review of some kind, a link or first hand encounter would be good.
RADEON ve 7000 64MB.

Are you thinking of buying one? they're quite old I believe, based on quite an old gpu. I'll try and dig up some comparative info.

I have one, Radeon VE 32MB version.
I hated the thing, the drivers for it totally suck unless you are running windows 98. I got tired of games continually crashing and having all sorts for problems. I have a friend who had one too and he had all sorts of trouble with the DVD playback.
I finally just replaced it with a GF4 MX 440 64MB, and its runs much better.
I'd recommend you get something like that if your considering a Radeon VE. And plus, like what Mouse said, they are like 2-3 years old too.

I actually got one. I thought I was getting a 9700 but I realised it wasn't as I was handing over the cash. I decided to get it anyways because it was the only thing in my price range.
The features sounded good, it was AGP 4X which brings me to my next question.
Will a 4x card work in an 8x AGP?
I haven't got a motherboard yet, and it seems that 4x AGP motherboards are non existant in stores now so getting an motherboard with an 8x agp will be easier, not to mention upgrading video cards will be cheaper...
I think I'm starting to regret buying it now, I should have taken my money back...
It was only $35 US so it was a bargain over here, well maybe not so much of a bargain :(.
[edit:] It's no real biggy if you think I should get a better card, I can just return it unopened to the store, after tryin my luck at a higher price on ebay that is;)

4x will work in an 8x mobo but only at 4x.

Great! Thanks for your help. :D, I will make sure when I buy my mobo as well but that will make things a lot better for future upgrades if I get one with 8x.
Oracle, I checked out the ATI website, specifically the problem/error section for the radeons.....big list, it's a little worrying but they have a fix for almost everything.
What graphics card would you suggest for a P4 system?
I plan on 512mb of ram and a 2.53 or 2.88 processor.
I've heard that geForce FX or something is supposedly good. I may upgrade once I've saved my pennies. :)

New Radeon 9800pro looks like the card to get. Or the follow on to the GeForceFX whatever that gets called.
GeForce FX is not particularly good and apparently sounds like a hovercraft
