View Full Version : Javascript url block

Hi I'm new, I was wondering if someone could help me...

So I have this problem, ( Don't we all? )

I recently joined a site, and I like to put music and edit my page any way I please, I use javascript coding to structure how the url of my music link is uploaded and played. I like my music playing in the background without the option of turning it off.

here is the script I use

<object width="1" height="1"><param name="movie" value="http://www.sturly.com/kimsun.1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.sturly.com/kimsun.1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="1" height="1"></embed></object>

The problem is that the site has it's own music service which it uses... and all members pages have it locked on their profile.

viewers on my page can click play on the site's default music player and a random song will play, lagging and distorting my music that plays.

I do not want to hide or cover up the default player, I want to block it completely.

the site has many scripts it will block for you to input on your page so my options are extremely limited. it allows me to post images and flash objects and few CSS.

anyways my question is...

1. is there a way I can use javascript to block the default players url?

2. can I add some data to my player to block the default player? such as adding mysql strings or something.

3. I know javascript can be used to display a still image rather than using an image code. knowing this is there a way I could just add a random javascript image, but with extr javascript commands that transparently blocks the default player for all users that view my page.
