Hi - I am having some trouble on the following page:

http://goldenhillschurch.cmcconnell.com/

Specifically, there is some extra space being added that creates a white line between #secondary_nav_container and #bottom_row. It is only an issue with Firefox, Safari and Chrome, and surprising IE gets it right and displays no extra space. (See attachment)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think your problem is here:

#bottom_row_content_container
{
height:180px;
margin-left:20px;
margin-top:20px;
padding-top:20px;
width:860px;
}

Remove this and that should sort it. In fact IE7 (at least) shows the margin if you look at the position of the "News and Announcement" text, but it doesn't show it as a white line.

Hmm. Are you saying every other browser in the world is wrong? I didn't think so. This has to do with either margin collapsing or, possibly, images; both bugs in IE. I should be at my dev computer in an hour or so.

EDIT: It looks like SB65 may have it right but it also looks like improper margin collapse with IE, as expected. You do need to validate your html for that list of errors.

How do I take care of the margin collapse problem, and how do I get rid of the white space problem in FF and Safari?

NM- got it. Thanks SB65.
