I am a big fan of online dating, but I hate most online dating sites. They give me the hives most of the time. This is the reason why I have wanted to run my own for a long long time, and have come up with a selection of features the current sites don't have. I have tried several ready made dating site packages, but they're simply not meant to do what I want them to do... So, that's why I need you.
I need someone who can write code from scratch and who is quite good at adapting what they know to new uses. I have a basic understanding of php and mySql myself, so I won't be asking you to perform miracles - I don't think. I've been building websites since 1998 myself, but never got around to actually learn php... (Tried a few times. :p)
You would need to know a good deal about php and mysql, but if you wish to write the code on the basis of some ready platform, I'm fine with that (as long as I like the base and license is the right type).
I am looking to start in the Australian market, because I happen to be here myself and the competition isn't too overwhelming. Gradually I would like to expand, but it's good to start locally, I think. I will not go to details with what I have planned, but let's just say I think it'll be so much fun that people will break up just to keep using it! :D
I am willing to negotiate on percentages, and share development & other costs, but unfortunately I can't promise you a salary at this stage. This is why I want you to get excited about the project and feel like it is as much yours as it is mine.
I am after expressions of interest at this stage, I'm not expecting you to sign up without knowing what you're getting yourself into. If you are interested, please reply this or send me an email with your previous work samples. :thumbsup:
