I NEED HELP!!

Well i saw in Dynamic Drive that i can make a splash screen for my webpage with the code below and it tells me to just save it as a separate html document. The problem is that i am using geocities for my webpage and dont know exactly were i have to add that code to make it work. If Someone knows how to do this can they plis reply to this message. Thank you i will really appreciate it!

Copy everything between the <body bgcolor="#000000" text="#FFFFFF"> and </body> tags, and paste it into your page just after your <body> tag. If it doesn't work, post back with the code and/or url and we'll see what's going wrong.

The problem is a little more than you may want to deal with. Geocities requires your first page be 'index.html'. The splash page must therefore be named index.html and you simply change the target reference at the bottom of the script. You will also have to rename your exisiting index.html file to something else. The problem with this is if you have a lot of other pages looping back to the index page. You will also need to change all those references too or they will return to the splash page.

An alternative is to rewrite the index.html file to detect if the splash page has already been shown or not. If it has, then business as usual; if it hasn't, show the splash page first then set whatever flag you use to signify the occurrence.

Neither solution is elegant so you may have to seek for another solution.
