Linux: What is the process "analog"? When I type "top" it says it is eating 50% of ram... Can I safely kill it?
Most likely it's Analog the logs processing script. There's probably a cron job set up somewhere on your server that instructs this script to run periodically. Analog is a freeware logs script popular on many servers, and installed by default.
Thanks, the Admin already got back to me and it was exactly that. After diasabling it the server worked much faster!
