I am trying to use GMail. I have it set up and working.
But not as I like it'

I cannot find an icon to click to ask it to download my emails.
Is it possible?

The program receives emails at some time programmed into it. But I often need to swap emails rapidly. I am unable to receive any rapid replies because there is no command button. I just have to wait until Gmail decides to oblige.

Any help gratefully received. I have googled until I am google-eyed  but to no avail.

In eager anticipation.:D

Possible, but not the most convenient method.

From the 'Settings' link, click the 'Accounts' tab. That page should list the email accounts you've set up. Next to each, there is a 'Check Mail Now' link.

Thanks PappaJohn, But it is not so on my version of GMail.
It only has edit info and delete options there:confused:.

I am giving up on Gmail and going over to Yahoo mail which allows me to choose my time for getting the mail.

Hmm, mine shows: 'View History', 'Check mail now', 'edit info' & 'delete'
