htpasswrd problem

I have tried to set the password on Apache I clikc on htpasswrd.exe and the black window appears then goes off immediately. I have tried this on 3 different computers and get the same result Any Ideas?

Open your command prompt (by typing cmd from Start menu=>Run) and then open your exe by typing the path. Or you may just drag and drop it to the command prompt window.
