help needed wif microsoft access!!

i have a EmployeeID field name in my database. The data type is Autonumber. But it always starts at 1. How do i predefine the number to start wif like 1101?? :confused:

i don't think it can be done.
besides, there is no reason to do that. trying to give that ID field some extra meaning is bound to get you into problems some day.

you can always insert 1100 records and then delete them. The autonumber field will continue to increment from 1100 on (but of coarse, this isn't good practice)
