The WPress Blog suddenly went Blank as I was trying to update the site plug ins and the contents.
After I update the plug ins and contents I went to where it says "View Site" and Bum! Its BLANK! Simply nothing on it.
I tried going back and log in again to my word press account/admin but then this is what I got on teh screen:
The website cannot display the page
Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.
What you can try:
Refresh the page.
Go back to the previous page.
This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
This is the url of the blog site I am talking about.
http://acnetreatmentremedies.net/ ( without the www)
Mod... if this is not allowed you can take it down or let me know how to show it.
Thanks A lot for any help or suggestions.

You're getting a blank screen because you now have a PHP script error and the
error reporting must be turned off (so you can't see the actual error messages).
You can turn them on by adding a line to your .htacess file (if you know what that is),
or ask your webhost to turn on error reporting.
Add this line to your .htaccess file (only if you feel comfortable editing that file):
php_value error_reporting "E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE"
Re-display your blog and note the error messages.
You can also check the error logs within your webhosting control panel.

Back up your content, then disable all your WP plugins.

Actually i am new to coding and the likes I always manage screw up things...LOl. Thanks a lot for the advice mlseim... I will try the .htaccess file and if I ma not comfortable with it I guess I have to call my web host and do it for me. I really appreciate your advice.
Thanks also to Cyanlight... Your suggestion is good but I don't think I can manage to re-do the whole thing again if i mess it up..
Thanks again guys,

I went to my Cpanel and check the error logs and I don't understand the codes and what its telling me.
I would like to put it on this post but it looks long so I might get in trouble with that.. is there a way I can show what it says.

Nice to see your Areospace_Eng...
This was the beginning of the error:
16-May-2009 11:40:07] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = '0' WHERE option_name = 'doing_cron' made by update_option [16-May-2009 11:58:42] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = '0' WHERE option_name = 'doing_cron' made by update_option [17-May-2009 04:39:31] WordPress database error Got error 28 from storage engine for query SELECT t.*, tt.*, tr.object_id FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON tt.term_id = t.term_id INNER JOIN wp_term_relationships AS tr ON tr.term_taxonomy_id = tt.term_taxonomy_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN ('category', 'post_tag') AND tr.object_id IN (239, 236, 220, 215, 208, 204, 199, 195, 191, 187) ORDER BY t.name ASC made by require, wp, WP->main, WP->query_posts, WP_Query->query, WP_Query->get_posts, update_post_caches, update_object_term_cache, wp_get_object_terms
Then the last time I tried:

Go into Cpanel > Mysql Database. Click repair next to the wp mysql database.

I went to my Cpanel and go the msqyl database and did the repair and it says ok.
But when when I go back to the site/blog, it is still unavailable. It's blank.
Is there anything more to be done?

Are you able to get into the admin part, or is that also a "no go"?
05-20-2009, 06:33 PM
Its likely a php error as stated so you need to enable error reporting. You can turn on error reporting through php, look it up. Its also possible you are using something in your htaccess file that is causing the server to mess up. But its just blank so it may not be an htaccess issue. Finally you may need to hire someone to fix it for you.

I was already contemplating on getting someone to fix it but I have other issues too that I have to a tend to so I want to include this into all the other things I like to do. some of my sites that I want some minor fixing and installations.
but, then again I will post that on the other forum so I can get a feel too of how much range it will take me. I probably would see you there... Aerosapce_eng...thanks....
