I recently developed a small project titled FinanceLog. FinanceLog is meant to be a simple system of managing money transactions that a person makes in any way. You are able to add things called "sources" which would be a bank account, a wallet, a "piggy bank", etc. and then you can add transactions such as additions and deductions and get a total value for each source. It's hard to explain the website completely, so I think that it would be better for you to register on it and try it out for yourself. If you're in need of help, visit the FinanceLog Support page (http://www.cortello.com/financelog/support.php) - there is some helpful information there for new users.

The site is located here: http://www.cortello.com/financelog. Please check it out, try it out, and let me know what you think. Currently, the only supported currency is American Dollars (USD). I'm sorry if anyone is offended by this, but I am working on having FinanceLog support other currencies in the near future. Please just keep in mind before testing FinanceLog that it is meant to be a simple financial management tool. It doesn't do anything amazingly special, but it sure can come in handy with managing finances and money sources for yourself, especially in these times of economic uncertainty. Also, in regards to the site design - I was going for something simple yet professional-looking, so it's not amazing. :)

Just a Note: You need to login or register an account to test out FinanceLog. If you want to create your own free account on FinanceLog, that's fine. If you'd rather use the testing account, then here is the login information for the testing account:
> Username: test2
> Password: testperson

Thank you for reviewing FinanceLog, and please let me know what you think of the system and what could be improved on it.

One word: PADDING! You don't have enough of it so everything looks tightly packed and squeezed.

You should consider a logo.

I wonder whether you're going into iPhone development, considering its prevalence...

Um...I don't know what that has to do with what I'm doing, but ok.... :)

Now, about the padding, if you view it on IE7 or earlier, some padding doesn't appear properly. However, there's not a noticeable difference from browser to browser. Where do you think padding should be added?

I'll get to work on some sort of logo. I'm not really an artistic person. I know Photoshop like the back of my hand, but I don't have the creativity to use it properly.

Site looks quite good with the light blue color. You can maintain some minimum height instead of the layout going up..
Submit Support Request doesn't look like a button..

.leftside and .nav a could use a bit more. It's mostly .leftside because text really shouldn't have that little space around it. Otherwise, it looks good.

When I spoke about iPhone development (or indeed any other popular brand of phone), I meant that an app on there could possibly increase the appeal of this service. If you're a programmer, you might want to check that out.

Oh, I see what you mean. I might want to take a look into that then. Thanks for the tip!

I'll add some padding later and I'll make the form buttons look a little more button-ish, for lack of a better word. I'll let you know once I make those changes, and then I'd appreciate your opinions on the changes.
