Howdy,

I've got a question and would like to have some advices. How could I superimpose one image on top of another in photoshop and then merge them into one with each of their details showing in the combined pic. Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards

One quick way to do this would be to have the two separate images on different layers. Set the blending mode of the top most image to something like "soft light" or "overlay" (you can see the blending options in your layers palate near the top - it is a drop down menu that starts on "normal").

After you do this, play with the opacity setting(s) too.
I would also suggest you look up "using layer masks", because you will probably want to add one to your top layer.

When you are done, don't merge your layers, just save your file as a .psd doc, then as a jpeg and try it out. That way if you want to go back and make changes you can just tweak the .psd file and re-save the jpeg.

You're welcome.
PM me if this doesn't work.

Many thanks Ajhauser, it works! And I was able to make a partly transparent superimposed image.

Kind regards
