Hello.

I am trying to find a host, preferably free, that will run a Windows .exe file for me. Yes, the file is a type of small server for a VoIP application. Is there a host or type of host that does this for me?

Thanks

If you have the bandwidth capabilities to run your own server, you could download Apache for Windows and then write whatever code you need to execute your file.

If you do NOT have bandwidth (or ISP permission) to run a web server on your connection, then you may have to hunt for one of those inexpensive hosts that are all over the 'Net. The problem with this solution, however, is that most hosts absolutely forbid the running of .EXE files, as doing so is a huge security risk. Doing this also poses the possibility of dragging everybody else who happens to share your server to their knees, as your .EXE may take up a tremendous amount of system resources.

Good luck with this. I doubt you'll find a host who will agree to doing this, but it may be out there with enough Google-ing...
