View Full Version : http://www.youngpup.net navigation
I'm a real beginner. Look at the dynamic-frame-navigation (when you click a linkk, the frames go live and change the page structure, smoothly...) in http://www.youngpup.net. No comment.
Do you know any link or introduction about that great change frame estructure?. I'm looking at the code, but it's too much for now.
Thanks in advance
Thank you Dave !
My english is not so good, I try to explain my post. I think that I write a wrong url, the right is = http://youngpup.net/.. Sorry for the mistake...
In this web, when you choose a item menu, for example, [experiments] and then other subitem, like [HFD scroll], then you can see how the frame move, it changes dynamicaly the general frame structure. I thinks the best way to taste it is navigate to http://youngpup.net/.

Are you talking about the windows explorer like menu on the left side? If so check it out on dynamicdrive.
The one that http://youngpup.net is using doesn't work in NS. It displays the whole menu.
Thanks tamienne !
I mean other kind of navigation, just when you make a click over a link, sometimes the frames window resize and load the concret content of that link. Have a taste in http://youngpup.net. Sure it will be more understandblethat my words...

Do you mean the pop-up windows resizing to fit the content? Sorry, no pun intended, but the right lingo is important to get your message across.
I mean the content in the resizeble frames. If you go to http://youngpup.net , please taste it. For example:
1.- in the dialtastc menu (left side, upper) choose "Experiments", then it will loads the experiments menu items
2.- choose "HFD Scroll" (experiment menu item, at the right of the dialtastc menu)
You will see how the frames down resize and load the content choosed
3.- in the dialtastc menu (experiments menu), choose "Works" then it will loads the works menu items
2.- choose "Three.OH news" (works menu item, at the right of the dialtastc menu)
Look at down the menu area, You will see moving frames in action

Hardly; i really didn't get what Joan was aiming at, but after the elaborate description it is all clear! :D
Joan, after a quick look the page seems to exist out of a table and a couple of DIVs (and that's simplifying it), and of course that great menu; total screen height is determined by the content, and as each page is newly loaded after clicking a menu item it's rendered again by the browser, adjusting for necessary height.
It's no magic really, but very nicely done. The real strong point is again that menu; very, very nice!
